Back in the saddle. Rwanda fundraising ride - training update

August was a bit of a slow month for training with a holiday, our busy Summer programmes and a dose of illness, but the last couple of weeks I’ve been back on it and feeling good.

Training has been a mix of long-distance rides, riding with the full bikepacking set-up I’ll be using in Rwanda (to get used to the weight and feel), plus yoga and weights to make sure my body can cope with the long days in the saddle. I’ve even added in some sauna sessions to try and prepare for the heat out there!

It’s just over 1 week until I set off for 1,000km across Rwanda in six days. Every mile is about raising funds to launch our new Community Hub in Brixton, giving young people free access to cycling, mechanics and mentoring.

Thanks so much for all the support so far, please keep sharing the page and helping us hit our target. Together we can make this happen!
